Amy Winehouse Benefit Concert

On January 18, the Amy Winehouse Foundation announced preparations for an Amy Winehouse benefit concert in 2012.

With reports speculating that celebrities like Jessy J, Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Florence Welch and Mark Ronson being approached to appear at the Amy Winehouse benefit concert have yet to be confirmed.

Mitch Winehouse confirms on the foundation website that no artists have yet been approached to take part in the benefit concert for his daughter Amy Wine house.

Amy Winehouse Foundation Announces Benefit Concert

The Amy Winehouse Foundation has announced that a benefit concert is to take place in 2012.

As of yet no acts have been confirmed.

Mitch Winehouse said: “The Amy Winehouse Foundation is very excited to be planning a benefit concert in tribute to Amy later this year.

“Thanks to everyone for their interest and for sharing our enthusiasm for the idea.

“We should make it clear that no artists have yet been approached to take part.

“We will be talking to a variety of people in the coming months and will announce those performing as soon as we can.”

Plans for a memorial concert for Amy Winehouse are gathering pace. Stay tuned for further announcements from the Amy Winehouse Foundation about the upcoming benefit concert.

Proceeds from the Amy Winehouse benefit concert will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which has been set up in Amy’s memory to support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.
